My 1966 vw square back had a radio that worked, 6 volt system kept eating starters so I got used to putting it in neutral giving it a push, jump back in and throw it into gear. No AC, crank windows, don't remember if it had power brakes or steering, and the heat exchanger was rusted through so if you wanted heat you had to enjoy the smell of exhaust. Got me around fine.

The next big thing will be something built-in to hold cellphones.
The very front of the console under the dash on the Rogue I drive has a cordless charger built in. It's not a holder for viewing but there is integration between the phone and the vehicle where you can operate the phone from the large touch screen display on the dashboard, whether you are charging or not.
