Best known for his legendary tenure as master blender and director of quality at Davidoff in the Dominican Republic, Eladio Díaz is a luminary of the cigar industry.

After 35 years at Tabadom Holding, Inc., alongside Henke Kelner, Díaz left in 2021. Soon after his departure, he announced that he would be opening his own cigar factory in Santiago de los Caballeros, DR, together with various members of the family.

While Tabacalera Díaz Cabrera initially produced cigars for private label customers, like Freud Cigar Co., the family soon announced the Eladio Díaz 70, a limited edition cigar to commemorate Díaz’s 70th birthday.

With Eladio Díaz Before & After the first regular production cigar was then introduced to the market.

Eladio’s son, Emmanuel, who served as the former director of international sales at E.P. Carrillo, and now works as Commercial Director at Tabacalera Díaz Cabrera, will be joining us together with his father for this very special interview.

Good morning everyone! El Pulpo! Excellent! @d_blades Nice is an everyday cigar, solid, but inexpensive. Excellent is self explanatory, regardless of price! Don’t think I’ve used “great” as a description! During the winter in the ice cream business, cash flow is non existent. So Topper it is! I usually have 1 excellent cigar a day, not always in the morning though! Everyone have a great day!
