I think you're very smart. I think you knew what you were doing when you posted it. If it were meant to have been a joke, I don't think you would've posted it in the political discussion...... discussion thread. I don't think you posted it as some sort of joke where everyone would understand it came from a satirical website either. If it were to be a joke, you would've posted where it came from. I think this is exactly the type of thing we talk about all the time, where you can just report something and people will believe it as fact. I think Peter definitely posted this as a joke, and assumed people had average intelligence and could realize it was a joke. I've posted meme's or other forms of humor in here instead of other threads to keep politics out of the way of the people who don't want to see that, since it's so divisive. I'd imagine he was doing the same thing.

I think the tolerance point you bring up is interesting, since you seem to struggle with that at times. Are you calling yourself old?

Yes I'm old, and I wear pants. But I'm no lady. Can you give me an example where I've ever been intolerant of anybody's opinion? Or is this just your opinion? Or is this just a "pot-shot" "people had average intelligence" ?? 😳 That's sneaky good, really good.... attacking at the man.... attaboy!

Maybe I just believe that nonsense shouldn't be posted out there as fact or just posting something without the source is dishonest. Was I wrong in calling out the post? No, and to some degree you know that. But the intolerance part, that's baseless. I don't care what anybody's beliefs are. I've always said if you have formed the thought or opinion on your own and come to some sort of conclusion that you believe deeply in the fiber of your being, you should follow it. I think today's society looks at the media, social media maybe more so, and thinks ....YEAH! I believe what that person with 1 million followers says so it's gotta be true!!! They feel the same way I do!!!" We don't think for ourselves anymore, that's too tiresome. It's much easier to have our favorite social media member I think for us. @CalvinAndHobo , you are somebody who likes to wax intellectual, you don't feel the same way about the current state of our political climate thinking for us?
