Oh I know what it is…just still think it’s bullshít and an unfair advantage. Without it even being spoken, two guys can chip away at everyone else at the table simply by betting each other up and then splitting pots.

As I've seen it in practice, it increases action. I can see what you're saying as it pertains to a bunch of recreational players in a standard stakes game like 1-3 or 2-5, but in insane games with no buying limit, like a 25-50, there are a lot of pros.
These guys are bringing 100K with them. No matter who you are, that's a poop load. Without these mechanisms, you would decrease the action and have smaller pots, fewer all ins, and even fewer calls of all ins.

That's also why they play the seven deuce game, the nit game, the bomb pots, and all the other non-standard things. It's all you got money flowing around the table faster and freer.

That's generally what everybody wants. If there isn't a chance to win money, why play?

The thing that annoys me is the constant rabbit chasing and the angle shooting like string raises and inappropriate table talk and showing your cards to your opponent, etc.

I agree with the other annoyances for sure. There is etiquette at a poker table like anything else…at least there used to be.

I’ve seen it in practice as well. I helped run a cash game for awhile. It didn’t bring 100’s of thousands but on most nights there was anywhere from $5k - $20k being played. Guys used to try things like this or would try “saving” their last bet. When one of the other guys allowed it many of the players would refuse to play hands and decrease action for the reasons I mentioned.

Maybe it’s a cultural thing, generational thing, or just a way that times change. I just know it’s not for me.

Yeah for sure. One other thing that annoys the pïss out of me by the way that I should have said before was that guys see these pros doing this shît on TV all the time, and then they come to the 1-2 game with a $200 Max buy-in and want to run fukking boards four times. Idiots.
