It's this stupid stuff that started being used by rich people in the middle ages, to show everyone that you had so much money that you could waste your land on looking nice, instead of growing food. It's the same concept as women wearing heels or painting their nails, to show that you're in a class above manual laborers. For some reason, it caught on, and now I have to spend a couple hours every week cutting it for no reason, because society says I should. I hate lawns, they're stupid, you desert dwellers have the right idea. One of those random things that makes me angry even though no one else cares.
