Thanks, wheels, Ozzie, and Krieg. You're right, Ozzie. There are a lot of really good guys on here.

Holy hell, WELCOME BACK!! I've been really spotty this last week or so, probably will be for the next few weeks too, I've made a few purchases that are tying up my free time and my brain, but I can't wait to get in to some conversation with you. Yeah!! more funny people!!
Thanks! Bought a new rubber woman, did you?
Yeah, thought I would try out the asian model this time and see how it compares to old crusty.

Hi, Matt. Glad you found your way back, too.

Welcome back old timer! So what have your smoking preferences been lately?
Hey, Puro. I've been pretty boring since I've been away. Just been smoking down the stock, so it's been my same old favorites -- Don Carlos, Ashton VSG, Perdomo ESV 91, Padron 1964, Uppman, Monte White, etc. The only new favorite I've discovered is the DPG Serie JJ.

    How about you?

Big fan of most of the Pepin stuff. And of course thanks to you a big fan of the Hemingway. You were the first one to turn me on to that one and I have to admit it's still a great go to stick. La Flor, Ashton, and Alec Bradley are what I've been smoking most of lately. It's good to have you back buffalo man!

Thanks! Y'know, I've never had an Alec Bradley. Which ones do you like? I picked up a couple of Harvest Selections and a couple of Tempuses (Tempi?) a few weeks ago. Looking forward to giving them a try.
  • PuroFreakPuroFreak Posts: 4,131 ✭✭
The Tempus is a damn fine smoke. I also enjoy the Maxx and for a good mild smoke the Occidental Reserve is pretty good. The one that really tops the list for me now though is the new Family Blend. I just tried it Monday and I believe it was the best AB smoke I've had yet. They are priced in the $5-$7 range too. The new Prensado is supposed to be great too. I've got a few of those resting in the humi as we speak.

    Do I know anybody here?

Hi, everybody. I used to be around these parts a lot, but I've been away for a while. Thought it was time to renew old acquaintances and make some new ones.

Looking forward to getting to know all the old guys, again, and meeting everybody who's arrived since I left.
    Well KISS MY GRITS!!!

If I ain't happier than a Pig in SLOP!

I'm glad you've come back, Your class of Satire has been missed by me... You have a certain Je ne sais qua about your posts that make you a smart ass but all is forgiven for you posts seem to have a 1950's campy flair that makes it all right...
I've tried to mimic this, but with you leaving I had to rely on my Grotesque and disturbing forte (go with what ya know huh?) Now that you are back I can continue on my track to rehabilitation and I can stop my incessant purchasing of celebrity hair...

    Here's where I'm at:
    1. I switched from Miller Lite to Vodka, Not for taste but for Calories
    2. I've learned to take my rage out on others than just myself
    3. I still love Bewbs
    4. Matt Damon won't return my phone calls
    5. Don't worry, the child didn't turn out to be yours (It was Navy seaman turned basketball star David Robinson's)

Other than that my laps in posting was not to my death but for I was doing a nickel in Chino...

    WELCOME BACK!
  • urbinourbino Posts: 4,517
Hey, Lassy! Glad you came home! Sorry to hear about the nickel. You must've gotten time off for good behavior, though. Having a little trouble putting together a love for bewbs and Matt Damon, but don't explain. I probably don't want to know.

Kuzi's laid off the Gurkhas and you've stopped drinking Miller Light? When will the madness end?!

Welcome back, I'm kinda new too. I'd love to see your humidor porn. I'm a big fan of the DPG's, and the AJ Fernandez blends. I'm in the process of re-stocking mine, 3 boxes of DPG's, 2 Camachos, 1 Casa Magna (which I just tried for the first time 2 days ago, and bought a box this morning), 1 box of Oliva Serie V maduros... I'm just sick when it comes to buying cigars....
  • urbinourbino Posts: 4,517
Hi, cm. Yeah, it does sound like it might be time for an intervention for you. :) I see you like your cigars strong.

I had a thread going about my new humi when I bought it, including pics. Looks like it has aged off the site, though. Lemme see what I can do.

These are from when I first got the humi, so the inventory has changed quite a bit. A lot more than I realized, actually.
  • urbinourbino Posts: 4,517
And here are the pipes. (Not that you asked. But the pic is with my humi pics, so I figgered I might as well post it, too.)

Ha! Thanks, Red. I gotta say, it's pretty nice to have around. I've always got a good selection available, and when friends are thinking about picking up one or two of something but aren't sure they'd like it, a lot of times I can give them one to try (or something I know will be similar).

It's a good deal more stuffed now than it was then, which is a little embarrassing, to be honest.

Wow, that is fancy! I thought you were kidding when you first mentioned it. Are those rats?

It doesn't look like it's been smoked much. It doesn't have that patina meerschaum develops.

    Hey, is Shirley still around?
He popped in a couple months back and did a little posting...haven't heard from him since. Every so often I'll see his name on the logged in members list, so he apparently drops by. You never know, Lassy came back, maddy came back and now you've come back. Get sirius and the gang's all here.

Interesting, I didn't someone say that they were all one in the same (along with kuzi?!) Strange they returned together...strange indeed....

No one has ever seen them all in the same room together and can live to tell the tale. Hmmmmmm.
