    Last night:

AVO LE 10 from my brother ROYLN!

Then had some friends over for a bonfire, lit up a LA AURORA PURO VINAGE from my 5K PASS.

**edit: And funny side story: 1 of my buddies tried to smoke the "football" cigar (not Fuente brand), got about halfway then the burn went way crazy and he said it was just like sucking hot air so tossed it. Then he tried a Gurkha Titan got about 1/2 inch in and tossed it too, said flavor was awful. Then he finally fired up a Padron 1926. Told him to let that be a lesson, just skip the **** and go with the Padron first next time lolol.

The draw was really tight on this Tat. I felt like I was sucking on this thing like an underpaid wh0re. After some investigation, I wanked this bad boy out with a pair of pliers.
Now it smokes like a dream!

La Perla Habana Rojo Robusto Black Pearl while trying out my new ammonite bowl I picked up at the Petrified Forest in Calistoga this weekend, enjoying both, especially now that we're home, my niece is home from the ER, and now that my break from cigars for our trip is over. imageimageimage

I'm surprised he got the stem out without destroying the cigar.

'Bout the only way I can see that happening is if the stem was in there on its own.  Or, if it was still a part of the leaf it was very loosely attached.  Usually, with an intact stem, if you try to pull them out it pull the leaf it's attached to into a wad that remains in the cigar.  That's why I stopped pulling stems out.

Also, what we call stems might sometimes just be larger veins, and veins are just part of the leaf.  Stems, veins, whatever they are are critical.  They can help with combustion, and without them, the ash wouldn't hold on like we want it to.
