I'd like your take on these if you get a chance. I've read mixed reviews, some love it, others seem to think it's meh. Seems to be on special at a lot of places. The folks over at Hiland cigars in AZ were nice enough to send me three of AJ's newer blends recently when I purchased a couple boxes of Mac Inspirado reds from them after mentioning I was a AJ fan. I have one of these on bed rest right now ( it was one of the three).
I had the Oscuro a few weeks before I had the Cameroon and believe I enjoyed it more, even though Cameroon wrappers are right up my alley. Overall, I liked the Cameroon, but didn't love it. The wrapper added a nice flavor and spice that I didn't get in the Oscuro but wasn't quite what I was looking for. Given, I did have a very spicy dinner, so my palate was already jacked. I have another Cameroon that I'll smoke in the next few weeks. Will let you know how that goes.

Got about an hour and half before my ribs are done. This will help see me through.
Update:
Tried a few of these now and this has to be my least favorite My Father cigar blend. It almost seems like the wrapper and filler are not a good match. The retrohale is the nicest thing about it for me and the only time I get some good flavor notes. The draw flavor is very "cardboardish" and I suspect it's the wrapper. It seems to be confused and trying to do two things at once and performs poorly at both (mild-med or solid med). There is something there that I like but it's drowned out by the uneventful cardboard dominance and flat generic flavor you find in one-trick-pony budget cigars. Love nearly everything else they make but this one is definitely not in my wheelhouse. Great burn and construction though.

New Viaje Black from @Lee.mcglynn I wanted to smoke these reasonably close together for comparison.
Personally I think the Black is better, the maduro wrapper is more suited to the blend. However the Connie could possibly hold its own with the right amount of aging. The filler is strong/bold but has that young cigar edge to it. @WaterNerd hope this helps
