The pump is fine. The pipe going down not so much. On the flip side, I now know why my power bill is 600 bucks a month the last few months.

Can't the casing just be replaced?

How are the bad pipe and the high power bill related?

Because my pump was constantly running sucking up air instead of all water. So it wouldn't shut off. It had been steadily rising over the last 6 months and I would always here my pump running without any water running.

Had a friend who "cured" his rusted well pipe by shooting down it. Not so sure the lead was all that good for him though.

When you say "the pipe going down", do you mean the 6" diameter cast iron well casing, or the PVC pipe connected to the pump, which the pump is suspended on? Sorry, things still aren't adding up for me, especially regarding where the air is coming from.

The pipe that the well casing holds was pulled up last night. They replaced whatever could be replaced and dropped it back down. When they did that, still no water. They made a decision that it needs to be redrilled 🤷🏻‍♂️.
That's all I can tell you cause that's all I know. They said the pump was always running because he was constantly trying to pull up water. I was at half water pressure yeaterday morning so I killed thr power, pulled the screw to prime it, and turned it back on. I dumped over 15 gallons of water and never got prime.

Good thing it's not hot and muggy in Orlando... even better that you can shower at HQ.

Bad news, how much do they charge for drilling a new well?

Too much. But I live on county owned property and they are responsible for the cost. Problem is dealing government now to allocate the funds that weren't budgeted.
