Alright, here's how the cookie crumbles for Week 2:

    Ripp - 10
    JZ - 10
    Smokeee - 8

Ripp is closest to the score of MNF. His guess 46. Actual score 45.

So congratulations Ripp for winning week 2!!!

Kingjk.... if it makes you feel any better, you guessed the MNF score correctly.
Congrats Ripp! send me your info and I will get your package out asap

Ok on the way. By the way the final score of the game was 47 points not 45. Not sure if that makes a difference but the final score was Saints-25 Niners-22.

Congrats on the win Ripp! I was pissed when SF converted the 2 point conversion!!!!!! Great game though!

This weeks numbers look like this unless somebody wants to recount .......

    King 10
    Robby JZ DD 9
    Kreig Clearly 8
    Smokee 7
    Jocelyn 6

Everyone has GB to win with the exception of Smokee ... I think somebody should verify this since I have been all messed up for the last week with a nasty cold.

Alrighty here boys------Here is a proposition, an addendum if you will to the game to make things interesting.

Weeks 4,5, and 6----We change it up. Anyone who wants in is free to get it. We total the three weeks together, highest number correct (tie breaker being MNF Game of the Week 6) gets sticks sent to them by everyone who did not win.

While there is not sticks exchanging each week, there is a greater prize to the winner and it awards consistency. Its how we did the College Bowl Season Game, and could even change this to something like that if we wanted. Just an idea since we generally get a great turnout for this game, but 3 weeks combined and figure its between 20-40 sticks to the winner....might be an idea to try for at least one period

    Anyone in?

I'm never very good at this game and am lucky if I can squeak out one win a year so I'm gonna opt out on this one. I like the game exactly how it is.
  • clearlysuspectclearlysuspect Posts: 2,124 ✭✭✭✭
Looks like we all get to keep our Man Cards this week as the 9 month old only had 6 correct picks. Smokee, you can even keep yours. So much for selling her picks my coworkers.....

Yes good sir... I would like a recount please!
Allow the records to show I had 9 correct picks! Thank you!

I rather like the game the way it is too. I have yet to win one of these, but always soooo damn close. There are usually a few weeks each season in which to much is going on and just cant be here to make picks. I like the option of being able to jump in and out of this weekly.

I will go with whatever the general concensus is. Good either way

Well I suppose we keep it week to week since thats what more people want. Sure seems a better bet to me getting a nice little package with a few dozen cigars than just getting a handful and then shipping out another handful 5 days later, its kinda boring me out of the game actually-----but who am I to be rational.

Well, we'd sure hate to see you go, but if you must we'll understand. I sure wouldn't keep doing something that just bored me to death.
