    Manturian Candidate seems to fit most of these clues except the whole lawsuit against the government. I don't really remember that being a part of the movie.

    Yes! That's the movie!

    This movie held the rank of 'favorite' for quite some time. It's full of depth as well as an entertaining story. Anyone who hasn't seen it I'd highly recommend it.
