Ya'll are brutal. Making me feel like my humi is crap.
The tape, well I guess one may find out what it's for.
Here is a view with the door open.
well sweeeeet ! Full tower. Nice my man.
It's my $250 find. Quite proud of it. LOL!
damn ! Why can I never get finds like that !
My wife was telling the local B&M owner that I was looking to buy a cabinet for about $250.
He tells her that he might be able to come up with a tower for $250, because he gets a tower on a promo deal on the next $5,000 purchase he makes on cigars.
I was thinking that $5k was a huge purchase and it would be some time before he made the purchase.
A couple weeks later he tells me he has the order in and the tower is on it's way.
He had this one already in the lounge part and had been using it to store special cigars for certain customers. When the new tower showed up, it was a cherry wood finish and he liked it better than the black one, so he sent me home with the black one.
I was good with that. LOL!
It came with the Hydra electronic humidifier, which is almost $100 by itself.
So needless to say, I'm a loyal customer at the local B&M.
I notice many of you have cigars in zip lock bag inside you're Humidor and it looks like many boxes too.
what is the reason for this? I see Bead's, fans, and Meters reading 65 + and many of the sticks are in zip lock bags ????

I have multiple bags in cooler just to have a little organization. Bought some cedar trays but they haven't arrived yet. The bags are not zipped shut though.

this is the exact reason why i do it too. makes digging through the 5 humidors a bit easier
Had to modify the air circulation from initial setup. Originally had the humidifier on the far left, with two 12v fans part way up. They ended up not being enough to move the air around. I picked up a mini tower fan from Lowes and have it laying on its side pointing up directly behind the humidifier. Also, moved the humidifier over to the right side. Now it uses less cigar juice and maintains a more constant humidity level. The humidifier is actually set to 79% I've got 3 hygrometers to monitor: 1st shelf up on the right side (at 65%), middle height on the left side (66%) and top right (65%).
I have had it set up higher at about 69-70% but I found I prefer 65%.

Sweet set up Walt. I remember seeing pics a while back when looking back through this(?) thread, but don't remember if it was full or not. Love the lighting on top shelf.
