Seriously, what are those things?
Pipe rests.

Nice design, shows off the pipes well. Any trouble with the pipes slipping off?
No, not yet. The only issue has been the overhang from the stems, but that's typical with a double tier arrangement I guess. Solid wood, nicely made and very sturdy.

Can you flip the top tier over? Lengthwise? That would put pulling the pipe off the top rack at a different angle, lessening the interference of the stems from the pipes below.

You can, but the wood is nicely rounded on the edges and flat on the bottom, so if I flipped it there wouldn't be a nice look to it. The steel pins are in 3 pieces which screw together, making disassembly simple enough. Yeah, it doesn't look right if I flipped it. No big deal, it works fine.

looking at it again I can see that. My first impression was that the wood was rounded top and bottom. Still looks like a nice piece.

Treated myself to this gem and some nice tins. I didn’t have much Dunhill since these ceased production so I jumped on them.
If you want to bomb me send it to Tony @0patience
If you are a newbie I got Dem nachos....
Two commissioned pipes from Neal Monier. The pictures don’t do them justice.

Nice looking pipes, David.
You will be very happy with those!!
Watch City blends came in today, Blue Ridge Special (ribbon cut) and Ahab's Comfort (flakes). I took out some flake to dry for later.
This magnificent pipe stand from a craftsman in Ukraine. $54 shipped, too.
Nice design, shows off the pipes well. Any trouble with the pipes slipping off?
Yum, Kendal Plug and Dunbar. And, no, not dry begging, got plenty of them, favorites.
@silvermouse
My first try at the Kendal Plug. @Eulogy sent me some Dunbar, liked it, so I was happy to find another tin.
PS: Might want to check your PO Box.....
I hope you have one of these, the bestest plug cuttin' knife
First Tin showed up waiting on the other which shipped yesterday.

If anybody is interested, his shop is called KAFpipeWorkshop and is on Etsy. I don't know if the link will require a login or not, but here it is: https://www.etsy.com/shop/KAFpipeWorkshop?section_id=21584012
an awesome bomb from @Stubble . A beautiful cob and matching tamper, and some of my favorite va/pers! Thanks Steve.
Glad they arrived safe!! I know you don't like posting pics, so I took a close up before I boxed them.
The cob was made by emc_custom_cobs and he can be found on Instagam. His wife makes the tampers....
Prettiest cob I've ever seen. I'll be giving it a break-in smoke today with the new-to-me Sav Doblone d'Oro!
Nicely done, Steve.
Other half of my Esoterica score and an order from smoking pipes.

A Chacom Club 168 pipe, some Stonehenge, and some GH Best Brown #2 Flake. The picture doesn't do the pipe justice.
These came today courtesy of @Stubble. Peterson 68 he was able to arrange and some traveling companions. Thanks, Steve!
One more tin of 40th and I will have enough in my cellar. It is probably my favorite McClelland blend.
