I heard that this year's C&D Carolina Red Flake was really good so I picked some up. I'm trying it out in my Norm Triptow olive Falcon bowl with the Papua New Guinea Dry Process Baroida coffee left over from breakfast.
This years CRF does taste sweeter than the prior years that I have tried. I usually avoid red VA due to the reactions with my mouth chemistry but I've been enjoying this bowl, perhaps because of the increased sugars mitigate some of the effects.

Saw someone else make this mix a few times and happened to have to the occasion to try it. Been puffing on it all day and drinking Peet's with it while I finish up some work that's been hanging over my head recently. 50/50 GH Bob's Chocolate Flake and MB Old Dark Fired. Not terrible.

Yes, and it can definitely be detected in BCF. According to Tobacco Reviews and SP, both have it but in SG CF, it is taking a big back seat. Well... I'm getting toward the end of the bowl and I believe the Latakia is coming out a bit more.
Edit: Just zoomed in on the label in the picture, duh, it's right there. 🤪
Wild Man by SPC, maybe its the color of the tin and the woodsy picture, but i swear it has a piney taste in it that’s quickly shot it to the top of my favorite list. Must be a Georgia thing, but pine trees are heavenly

Good to know. I just picked some up last week. Opening this weekend 🤙🏼
Plum Pudding Special Reserve, not sure if it's the fact that it's in a cake or what, but it almost tastes like an aromatic instead of a nonaromatic, very smooth, plum pudding was already my favorite nonaromatic, special reserve just took 1st place

SG Chocolate Flake with some Peet's. Looking for the difference between this and Bob's Chocolate Flake. They certainly smell different in the tin.

One has some Latakia in it if I remember correctly.

Kopp is now distributing certain HU tobaccos worldwide, will be on sale in the US imminently and this is a good one.
Do you eat the olives, Chris?
Nope
