Being a blind pass, I think not labeling the individual boxes at all would be good. If you want to know whose box you picked, that person can tell you after the fact. I would hate to see someone be disappointed because everyone keeps not picking their box. Also, Tony, I'm going to send you a PM with another idea I have, but I don't want to put you on the spot publicly.
Got it bro. Replied.
In Fumo Pax Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy cigars and that's close enough.
Don't know if this would help but how about packing each grab bag inside ups/usps/fedex carboard envelopes self sealing glue flap thingies. Would protect as well as cardboard boxes but not as much bulk. Plus it would be much harder to peek.
I'm thinking that if we use the USPS flat rate small boxes, then they are available to everyone for no cost.
That way, clean boxes go in and tampering would be minimal, but realistically, it's gonna be on the HONOR system.
I suppose we can number the boxes, take pics of everything before you ship, then the next guy can compare images when he receives it?
Each person puts their number on the boxes as we go?
Dunno.
IMHO, the "blinder" the better. I would want to avoid the temptation to try to identify the box and its sender prior to picking. If it's possible to match up the numbers on the box with the pics posted by the sender, everyone would be able to figure out which box was sent by who.

Agreed. I think that we'll have to go on blind faith.
It is an honor system and I have to believe that all of our brothers are honorable.
I think we're getting down to the details of it.
But it sounds as if most everyone is leaning toward the completely blind pass.

To create a little mystery for the early participants, Tony and I have agreed to do this jointly. I will be sending half of the initial boxes to him to start this pass. So the first person in line will have a couple different people's mystery boxes to pick from. Again at the end, we will divide the unopened boxes between us. This should be pretty awesome.
Well, if I can get some stock...I'm in.
(Private - Steve - Let me know where the LFD's are!) Ok, you may continue reading now!
2 Tony's Pass. LOL!
We are shooting for making this happen around Feb. 8.
Hopefully have all the logistics worked out by then.
I have to check on boxes and all to find the most economical way to do this.
Remember, this is a baseline cigar pass. No one expects you to throw in premiprems.
If you do, that is your choice. If you do not, no one expects you to.
Cigars you think others want to try, but haven't, is kind of what I was thinking.
Here is the list of players so far.
Confirm you are in. Well, those of you who get a choice.

This sounds great. I'm in once you get it up and running. Will be fun to watch. Would the senders name be inside the box so once you open it you know who sent it, or are you thinking totally blind?

Oh no, no sender's info in the boxes.
And no indication of who sent what.
Totally blind.

That apostrophe is bugging me. Is it "The Two Tony's Pass" or "The Two Tonys' Pass" or "The Two Tonys Pass"?
Hmm, since it is the 2 Tonys, there would be no apostrophe, but since it infers ownership of the pass, I think it should be the 2 Tonys' pass.
So the Tony's would be incorrect, I think. LOL!
