Yeah Padron is a real good brand. Not one of my top 3, but I've never had a bad one.
My top 3 brands are: 1. DPG 2. Diesel 3. LGC
And on a side note, since there are so many LFD fans out there, what are some of your favorite cigars that they do? I've only had 1 LFD and it was a Double Ligero chisel about 4 years back. I liked it, but wasn't blown away at the time, and i just haven't tried anything else that they do. I'm gonna have to give them another shot and would love some recomendations.
If I had to narrow it down to just three it would be Rocky Patel, Camacho, and Tatuaje.
(fuentes goes without saying since I have smoked a ton of these as well)
when i started this thread in late 2009 my favorite 3 brands were: 1) camacho 2) LFD 3) Avo
in that order.
then in late 2010 i updated my top 3 brands to: 1) LFD 2) Avo 3) JdN
in that order.
now its a bit over 4 years since the original thread was posted.
i thought it woulds be interesting to bring it up for those who posted last time. on that note my current favorite brands are: 1) Avo, 2) Room 101 3) Davidoff
some interesting thoughts on my 3 favorite brands:
-Avo has always been on my top 3, and moving up none the less.
-LFD fell off. the full body cigars just dont do it for me anymore.
-All of these cigar brands are produced by one parent company: Oettinger Davidoff Group
-JdN is still close. neck and neck with Davidoff... and thats neck and neck with Room 101.
My top 3 brands are;
1) Torano
2) Camacho
3) Partagas Both NC and CC.
I buy a large number of Torano products, so I went with that first.
Camacho, because their products would be the second most in my humi.
And Partagas, because I really like the Dacadas, Serie S and Serie D. Which is why both NC and CC.
In Fumo Pax Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy cigars and that's close enough.
I'm sure there are bad Oliva cigars out there, but I've had consistently good success and pleasure from many of their blends. And I can always find them, usually for less than the others. LFD has lots of flavors, but is sometimes too strong to really just relax and enjoy it.
I've only had one or two Room 101's or Davidoff's. The 101's were not my favorite; the Davidoff's were really good, though, even if they were 3x3s.
And I do like me a good Avo. Too many to really say what my top three are, I suppose. I'd have a hard enough time telling you what my top three cigars are.
Intelligence is knowing that a tomato is a fruit; wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad.
I like Oliva and Quesada (including Regius) a lot. I will smoke anything, though.
So, when we talk about brands, how do you divide something like DPG and My Father? Could they both be considered El Rey de los Habanos/DPG cigars? I don't think blender should be a brand, but I'd consider these bother part of the same brand. I could be wrong. But if so, you get another choice!
But, if Liga Privada is a brand, would you then have to include DE as a whole?

I guess I was just thinking of my 3 favorite beginning names i.e. cigars that start with LP or DPG or My Father in their names.
Mine now would be 1.Viaje 2. Illusione 3. Alec Bradley I only have box of cigars. The rest are all singles so I am doing a lot of sampling. Those 3 are always good andgo to for me anyday.
