It's no fun now, but they'll get you squared away. Afib has been understood long enough that the docs have several successful ways to manage it. And like Jimmy says (and you know) the Lord hasn't failed anyone ever and He won't start with you.
Do what those doctors tell you, my friend! Prayers sent.
on a related note, I was recently in AFIb - but temporarily. It was due to surgery I had in December to repair a floppy mitral valve in the heart. It is something they have been watching for years and an echocardiogram I had in October showed things had gotten very wonky and I had a lot of blood moving the wrong way through that valve. And I thought my fatigue was just from getting old - which is, of course, happening. I had asked for prayers from you folks back then, but I was not very specific as to the issue. It all happened quite fast and, when the surgeon was in there he discovered I had a small hole between the two sides of the heart (?!?) - had probably been there all my life. He says he sewed it up, but I suspect he just slapped some Flextape on it.
Anyway, God is good and I am back to work part-time and just got most of the restrictions lifted.
Thanks for the prayers, surgery went well, back home.
i have a very dear cousin, like a brother that has had a series of serious heart attacks, multiple surgeries in the last 3 days, and transferred to Nashville during the early morning hours. Please take moment to pray for Mark Sullivan. Thanks everyone.

So, I was out working in the garden when I got the call this morning, Mom's apparently had a stroke. Initial loss of all function on her left side, nearly all of which has now returned. Interventional radiologist was able to evacuate the clot, she's still unable to speak, but everything else seems to be working OK. Prayers could only help. Thanks all.

They got her up and she walked with a walker this morning. Speech continues to be a difficulty. We'll have to see what the coming days bring. Not sure she can live alone again. We're pondering solutions.

It'll be fine once the swelling goes down.

That happened to my Dad a couple of years ago. Some scary stuff for him and us. Time with him became more precious.
