"When I have found intense pain relieved, a weary brain soothed, and calm, refreshing sleep obtained by a cigar, I have felt grateful to God, and have blessed His name." - Charles Haddon Spurgeon
Update: Got the word they have two possible matches for Carlas bone marrow transplant. Please continue to keep her in your prayers and thoughts. We're waiting on the results of typing, don't know how long that takes. I also did a bit of research into being a donor. I'm really to old basically. They need people 18-44 years of age. If anyone is interested in saving a life just google Be The Match. And again thank you all for your prayers.
Just an update on my wife. She's doing well, has her good days and bad. Still no word on a bone marrow donor yet, hopefully we'll hear something soon. She finally went and got fitted for a wig so that was a big moral boost for her. Just continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers from time to time. And again a big thank you to all the great BOTL and SOTLs who've been such a Godsend.

Said a prayer you hear ab the donor soon. Glad things are going alright
She came down with some kind of infection so she's been in the hospital for a couple days while they dose her up with antibiotics. Hopefully she'll get to go home tomorrow. Then she's got to go to Columbus Wednesday and will be in OSU for 3 days of brain chemo treatment. Got to do that every other week for 3-4 times. Wish I could be home. This sucks I've still got 10 more days to go on the boat. Edited after reading the rest I realized that was just to freakin much to lay on people. You'll have to forgive me sometimes I get to damn moody lately.
Rick, don't you get family medical leave. That's ridiculous you are not able to be with your family now. Stay strong, my thoughts and prayers are with you both.

Yeah I do Kasper but with her only being able to work semi part time it's all me to pay the bills. So taking time off is out. Thank God for insurance. She's in Columbus for the next few days getting chemo in the brain which really sounds awful. She's so damn hard headed.
I know you guys are. Sometimes a guy just has to vent I reckon. God never promised a life of leisure just that he wouldn't give us more than we can handle. Sometimes I forget that. And all in all I can say we've been blessed. Thanks to all our great friends here and at home.
