I tore my hamstring 4 inches from my bone and they’ve been delaying my surgery to repair it. I could use some prayers that it gets scheduled and then it’s successful. I’m passing out most days from the pain.
Adding my prayers, and a question: Why? Why the delay? Makes no sense to me. My recent biceps tendon repair, tendon torn away from the bone, my doctors fear was that I'd waited too long to come in. Just a few weeks. I thought it was sprained. I got a long lecture on how the body reabsorbs the tendon if it's not attached, thus losing that muscle entirely. Tell 'em to get on with it.
Of course, your problem may be quite different. Still, it would seem the sooner the better for a better outcome.

I have the same question. I feel like this should have been done last week. They keep saying because my leg was supposed to swell horribly and bruise and they needed the swelling to go down first but I have no bruise and no swelling. I think it’s more likely it’s bad for the docs schedule. I called another place around here and they were going to be 3 weeks minimum.

Yeah, my orthopedist and my physical therapist and my MD son all told me, repeatedly and without consulting each other "It will start to feel fine. It's NOT fine. Follow the limitations to the letter!" I know one thing, I'm looking for this to be a one-shot deal.

So, really hate posting stuff in this thread, it's always bad.
I went Wednesday for a cardiac stress test, failed. Been having some problems with lifting and exertion. Long story short, cardiac cath done, no stents placed, because they couldn't. Too much calcification. Will be seeing vascular surgeon soon, plan is 5 bypasses.
Friends and family all blame cigars and coffee, I'm thinking it's because I'm addicted to cheese.
At any rate, I probably won't be around much for awhile. Cigars are going into deep storage for now. Love you guys. And gals, when they're here.

It'll be fine once the swelling goes down.
