Well a bit of good news for a change. She's been out of the hospital 4 days now. She's not doing great but definitely better than she was a week ago. She's actually eating a little bit now. But still got a little of the diarrhea though. But that's expected. I'm going to have to start making her get up and take some short walks, she doesn't want to but she's got to start building her heart back up. It's only operating at about half capacity now.
She's doing ok. The doc told her today all her counts were very good. But she wouldn't give her permission to go home for Christmas so looks like we'll be holed up in this tiny apartment. She's still really weak especially her heart. And she won't listen so she's not doing anything she's been told to do because she's to tired but it's not going to get better till she does.
Things have taken a turn for the worse. She's losing the strength to breathe on her own. They'll probably start her on a ventilator tonight or tomorrow. Right now they don't know what's wrong. Please pray!
Im sorry brother that you guys are going through this. Prayers sent!

Good news, her breathing has gotten better. She's still on 24 hour oxygen but she's not having to work so hard to breathe now. They still don't know what happened or why she's doing better. They suspect a virus. But for now they are keeping her in ICU in case she relapses. When the doctors are scared that's bad.

Hey all they took her off oxygen today. So far so good. Breathing is still a chore but that's a big change. Still going to keep her in ICU for another day or two before moving her to the transplant ward. It's a crap shoot. They give her fluids to help her kidneys which aren't doing good at the same time they got to be careful it doesn't increase her blood pressure. But everytim she gets fluids it floods her lungs so she can't take in oxygen. Not to mention she takes about 20 different meds everyday. She's a lot tougher then me, I think I'd just quit.
Carla's getting released today. Hopefully she'll continue to improve. She'll still be on oxygen for a while. Looks like at least 1 more week up here hope they don't try to get us to stay much longer than that, Idont think she'll go along with it. She's been crying most of the day because she wants to go home but they won't give the ok. Mainly because of her heart failure. So we're praying her lungs and heart will get a little better. She's missing the dogs.
Not everyone has the head shape to pull that look off, but you rock the cue ball look, bro! Nicely done!

Carla did get released from the hospital Friday. Poor thing today is the first time she's been to sleep since Thursday night. I was on the verge of taking her back to the ER again. She is on oxygen still though but hopefully her lungs and heart will improve enough that this will only be temporary. All this time being stuck in this apartment or the hospital is really getting to her it doesn't take much to get her in tears. But at least now we've got less to lose sleep worrying about. We were in real panic mode last week when they told us it might be another month before she can go home. Praying they are wrong because I don't think she'll listen. Anyways you all have been a Godsend and I'll never be able to make it up to you all.
Glad to read of progress. Continuing to pray, brother.

I like Oliva and Quesada (including Regius) a lot. I will smoke anything, though.
