We had a great time, and the best part was the boys got to sit 10 feet away from a momma cow while she gave birth, and the business and was facing them. They watched the entire thing from the emergence of the front hooves to the whole calf coming out, and being cleaned up by the mother. Fascinating.
What were the most, interesting questions you got from them about it?
I wasn't able to sit with them during the process, so I didn't hear their comments at the time. Gramommie was with them, and she said the little one was just kinda quiet and fascinated, but the older one was very excited, saying things like "I can't believe I'm going to see a baby cow being born!" We are interested to hear how he describes it to his mother. He did tell her "It was the funnest day ever!".
Seeing how happy my youngest son is to see me in the mornings. He comes downstairs with such a big smile, sure that I am just as happy to see him. Which, of course, I am.

I love when you boss calls you and tells you that your pay is being increased by $5/hour and it is retro-active from the beginning of the year.
Which means $5/hour for 8 months of work.
Yeah man!!
In Fumo Pax Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy cigars and that's close enough.
The secrets of the cigar lounge have been kept tightly under wraps for centuries, with women left to only speculate about the pearls of wisdom, mind-opening philosophies, and inimitable truths of life that are birthed in such an intimate, masculine setting.
Now, all will be REVEALED as The Babylon Bee reveals the truth about what men talk about in smoke-filled cigar lounges:
Cigars: This one seems pretty self-explanatory, actually.
Tom Selleck's mustache: Many a cigar has been smoked while pondering its wonder.
How many bears you could fight simultaneously for one minute without dying: An age-old question of manhood.
Leaving our lousy desk jobs to become burly sailors who go on monthslong voyages to the Orient for priceless treasure: A man can dream!
The throw pillow sale next weekend at Kohl's: It's a dynamite sale.
How many Roman legions you could singlehandedly defeat if you could go back in time with a machine gun and unlimited ammo: The question that has captured so many great thinkers.
The shortcomings of the overly limited epistemological approach of René Descartes in his Meditations, and subsequent harm wrought through a loss of healthy mysticism: Alas, Descartes! If you could have but settled for accepting a healthy epistemic uncertainty!
The composition of the Tri-Force in the Legend of Zelda: Better light another cigar for this one.
If anyone else is pretending to like cigars just to look cool: Haha, yeah, just kidding! Not us, either.
The cat is out of the bag! Now that you know what's being discussed, you have no choice but to respect the importance of the cigar lounge and the special place it holds in the lives of men.
'm convinced that if every Harley rider spent 100 miles on the Indian equivalent of their Harley, the entire industry would look a lot different. I do understand the brand image and nostalgia aspect though for those who value that. Since this is the Things I Hate thread, let's all just unite in our hate for the people who ride 500 miles a year and have $500 worth of clothing and bumper stickers, and keep it at that.
Sorry Calvin but this is the majority of our on road bike sales so I got to love it.

I have had the opportunity to ride several Indian motorcycles. They are not bad at all, but like Harley and every other import, they have pros and cons. I liked the model that was similar to the dyna (or whatever they call it now) it was fun to ride. The others were ok imho.

Photo albums, they really help bring back memories.
You mean digital photo albums like Instagram right? I mean, I know you so I know that's what you mean.

I was thinking about old fashioned photo albums and memory. My mom repeats things, and her memory isn't what it used to be, I think both used photo albums more in the past to remember all this stuff they did, I kind of miss it. Digital is just not the same.

Consecutive weekends off without worry of a phone call. First time in 4 years…..I can get used to this.

Something I love, my younger daughter announced she is pregnant. I think I'll have a birth date contest as it gets closer to the birth. Super stoked.

Congratulations, Shawn!
This'll be my first. It'll be a while before I can teach him/her to shoot, though.
