The only info I have on them that seems to be an issue is the trigger pull, but for the price, I think it is something I can live with.

Ok, so someone disagrees.
Disagrees with what? That it's a gun? That it's not the worst trigger?
Or they wanted to see who would get triggered?
It's just confusing when they do that without saying anything.
Don't know if they agree with the statement or statements or what they disagree with.
They have information to the contrary and don't want to share?
They don't like that particular gun?
I don't know.

So I finally sent my grandfather's rifle off to get professionally re-blued.
They are removing all the varnish from the stock and putting a high gloss oil rub on it and replacing the cobbled front sight that some incompetent gunsmith installed. It will be the correct front sight for the gun.
Right now, the gun looks good. When it is done, I am hoping it will look awesome.
The waiting is killing me.

It was presented to my grandfather in 1935. Carved bears and beartracks, cause his name was Beartracks.
Out of about 40 grandchildren, I ended up with it.
He had a habit of giving it to one of the grandchildren for "safe keeping" and taking it back later. When he gave it to me, I never gave it back.
I was young and a smart ass and I told him, you gave it to me, what, you gonna be an indian giver? Talk about fireworks. One upping an elder, don't fly well. LOL!
He got over it and told me I earned it.
That was enough for me. I have had it for the last 40 years.
Now, it will finally be restored to the glory it should be.

It's a Iver Johnson in 32 S&W. I picked it up in a trade a few years ago. I've never shot it, although it's in excellent shape for a 120 something year old pistol.

No oil on the polymer. Just a dusty, linty gun.
I was joking man lol. Yeah I cleaned mined last weekend, put a loaded up 33rd mag in and it clicked....Well being twice as heavy as a regular 15rd 9mm mag the one click wasn't the full click click my friend was holding it standing up and the mag just dropped on the tile lol that fvcker busted open and rounds went everywhere! We found all the pieces and I put it back together, turns out I had loaded 34rds in it, will be replacing the springs in all mags there 5 years old, had 2 fail to reloads while shooting, has to be the mag springs.
If you quote me do the @TX98Z28 in your text or I won't be notified of your quote, Thanks.

5 years is nothing. I'd be contacting the manufacturer for complimentary springs; if the springs are in fact the problem. Some aftermarket mags are cheaply made but the springs shouldn't be bad that fast, even if stored loaded. I've had magazines stored loaded for waaaay longer than 5 years and they work perfectly.

Is there anything that could cause a failure to reload other than bad springs in the mags? I cleaned the whole gun before shooting also, this Glock hasn't had very many rounds ran through it and the 33rd mags have been loaded for 5 years not shot once, zero problems with the standard 15rd mags, all mags are Glock. Why I suspect the mag spring is it did it twice on the same 33rd mag. The second time it did it the the slide came forward but stopped a quarter of an inch or so before closing fully, no round loaded, my friend and I were like WTF as we have never seen this before.

Try loading one less than full. Shoot through magazine and see what happens. If it gets hung up, try two less. Repeat. Then just 30. If it cycles well at 30 in mag, or 31 rack and one in the chamber, I'd be happy with that, especially if aftermarket. Since yours are factory Glock mags then send it back or see your local Glock armorer. It can also be the follower that needs to be replaced. Glock had some issues with those for a bit. They changed the design and offered free replacement if you had the affected type. There are photos online to check. I'd try the round reduction test, check follower, and possibly polish the ramp but if it's happening in the first few rounds, it's probably the first two possibilities but I'd also check the ramp for small burrs as well.

Well...Went to my buds family ranch last night (drank way to much wine). I shot 5 mags, two 33rd mags, 3 15rd mags all same OEM Glock mags previously used last weekend. Had multiple failure to eject casings on just one 33rd mag, same with others... the shot casing would get stuck/jammed in-between the slide and chamber and was still feeding a new round into the chamber....I'm beyond stumped here. It's a dangerous issue and I don't trust this gun worth a damn right now, it's unreliable, gotta get this fixed!

It's going to be more of a treasure. Can't imagine the hunts that thing has been on, I'm jealous!
If you shoot a marmot or squirrel when you get it back be sure to practice social distancing, wear a mask, and wash your hands!
Well, you'll just HAVE to be....patient!

And after all your groan button requests,..... I'd say that one is at the very least, borderline groan-worthy.
That's awesome Tony. Great to see a family shooter getting some love.
