“It has been a source of great pain to me to have met with so many among [my] opponents who had not the liberality to distinguish between political and social opposition; who transferred at once to the person, the hatred they bore to his political opinions.” —Thomas Jefferson (1808)

Where's the disgusting button? Why be disgusted at a bad photoshop? I mean, that's worse than the time I found pics on my son's phone of Hermione Granger's head on porn star bodies. I'm no photoshop expert, but its got some depth of field issues that make it distinctly not right. The real photos are one of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad bowing to Khamenei and the other came from Obama leaning over to let a kid touch his hair.So the disgust is manufactured.
Intelligence is knowing that a tomato is a fruit; wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad.
I like Oliva and Quesada (including Regius) a lot. I will smoke anything, though.3 -

You might name it the Age of Unreason. Fact is irrelevant. Feeling is all that matters. Life has become satire. Take for example this meme posted farther up on this page:
Sorry to disappoint, but that image is not factual.“It has been a source of great pain to me to have met with so many among [my] opponents who had not the liberality to distinguish between political and social opposition; who transferred at once to the person, the hatred they bore to his political opinions.” —Thomas Jefferson (1808)

So, what you're saying, Davis, is that even though Martel is correct in stating the photo was doctored the meme was still accurate in its depiction. Yes?"I could've had a Mi Querida!" Nick Bardis1

A meme is intended to evoke a feeling. Factual accuracy is not at issue. We all remember Obozo touring round the world bowing to autocrats. We all remember days when we were glad to escape a chaotic workplace. Whether either meme is a factual depiction of an actual event is imemematerial.

A question for anybody and everybody interested in answering.
Is this particular doctored photo a meme? If so why? If not why?
I don't consider it a meme. It's obviously political, and of a serious concern. It does make a statement, considering recent events, but the interpretation is left wide open for all to discern, or misconstrue. If it had a caption to clarify the intended message, I'd consider it a meme. What say you?0 -

Depends on what you consider a me. Here's the lazy definition that Google fed to me:Bob_Luken said:A question for anybody and everybody interested in answering.

a humorous image, video, piece of text, etc., that is copied (often with slight variations) and spread rapidly by Internet users.

It's funny that pirates were always going around searching for treasure, and they never realized that the real treasure was the fond memories they were creating. - Jack Handey3 -

Can someone please fact-check this for me:
Thank you.“It has been a source of great pain to me to have met with so many among [my] opponents who had not the liberality to distinguish between political and social opposition; who transferred at once to the person, the hatred they bore to his political opinions.” —Thomas Jefferson (1808)
