Now don’t get your Best Buy briefs in a bunch there little fella. Picked up this one from the big blue box you called your second home a couple years back when you fellas told me to get a mesh extender.
Reset it and to @VegasFrank ’s dismay, Zoom worked far better this evening.
You need to upgrade to the nighthawk EAX80. Its what I have and it carries about 800 mbps while extending. I ran mesh before and did good to see 100mbps through that. I switched tot he RAE500 router and EAX80 extender and now run almost a full gig throughout my property.
My new turntable is finally in working order. Turns out it was a bearing problem. The pics don't tell the story, but one is the shaft from the one-piece sub-platter that sits in the bearing well. It's more elaborate than it looks, but it was most likely a machining issue - very tight tolerances, and all that.
The hi-fi shop I bought it from is in MO, he got it from the US distributor in CA, who gets them from the designer/manufacturer in England. The guys from CA and England were in Chicago over the weekend for what has become the largest audio show in the states - I haven't been to one, but they're huge with various vendors touting their gear in hotel rooms, bigger companies renting out conference rooms, and tons of vendors for cables, records et al in the main hall. And there are like 5 or 6 of these shows around the country each year. Anyway, the CA guy drove up this morning with some parts he took off the turntable they were demo'ing at the show. He said I'm actually the first one to own one of these turntables in the US - they have a handful floating around to prospective retailers. I'm usually not an early-adopter on stuff, but he was thankful I was on this and in return was happy to drive here from Chicago before flying home this afternoon to make sure I was happy.
I thought I should be a good host and warmed up my espresso machine before he got here so I could make him a latte. He was well-caffeinated when he got here so he turned it down. But why waste all the energy it took to warm it up? So here's what's accompanying my afternoon cigar.

Glad you are all fine and hope your house is sound.
For you, it was probably just like all those nights slurpin' yer bourbon. You should be used to being wobbly by now.

Finally got my front deck rebuilt. It was previously very rotten.

Hard to find service like that these days.
