Walked about 15 minutes to get a burger and a beer for dinner in 102°+ weather, bummed a pack of paper matches and bit the end off of a Mi Querida firecracker since I didn't have to cutter to smoke on the way back. I was surprised to see that it was the Mi Querida, I thought it was a RomaCraft and I didn't think the firecracker would survive the passes around the table at the herf. It was just about the perfect size for the walk back, I ended up talking to this guy smoking outside the hotel who's the president of the US Junior curling association in town to teach a camp in Arizona. He was supposed to fly back to ord this morning but his flight was canceled due to the weather, I hope Paul and Katie get out okay this morning. He's going back home to Green Bay.

Just checking in,....... (should have posted this Sunday night). Glenn and I made it back to town about 9:30 Sunday night. Excellent herf once again. Glenn got a lot out of it. He's going back to work recharged. I'm still on vacation so it doesn't matter if I'm depleted, but I'm not. I took it easy on the stout samplers this time and that kept me from "taking a nap" in front of everyone during prime time. (Disclaimer: I did take a small nap in my chair very late one night, but that ain't the same thing. And I'm surprised I haven't seen photo evidence of that. LOL) Many thanks to all who came and also made things happen. Especially,....our hosts Peter, Patrick & Colleen. And Patrick, our grill master extraordinaire, (Amazing eats). And John our Lodging Host and Coffee Boss. And Glenn, my Quartermaster. The Milwaukee Herf is always great to be a part of. These gatherings are a great pleasure for me, and I'm sure many will agree. Cheers to the 5th Milwaukee Herf!
I really enjoyed following the happenings online! I really loved hearing how so many had such an awesome time!! If I can swing it (I might have to fake my own death...), I intend to join you all in 2022! With the Mrs. RaiderMike of course! 😄
I was catching up with co-workers as we waited for people to join the meeting and I mentioned some of the great food we had this weekend. I think I said too much. It's really astounding to think of all the great food we had.

It was a great time, as always. I got to meet a lot of you for the first time, and those I have already met, it is always a pleasure to see again. Patrick, thank you for letting us hang out with you and your family for a couple extra days. The food was phenomenal! Peter, thank you for putting up with us as a group. John, thank you for handling the rooming arrangements, as well as the daily dose of coffee. Love you guys, looking forward to next year already!

At any given time the urge to sing "In The Jungle" is just a whim away... A whim away... A whim away...
I put it in my calendar. Hopefully baseball cooperates and we dont play that weekend.
Team O'Donnell FTW!

Well slightly different format next year, have a few rotation players that we can select the tournaments we play to an extent. We will see if that works in our favor

Thanks Peter for hosting and the gift.
Oh and socks did come off. @Patrickbrick
My pants and such would have too, but someone smarter than me decided that was a bad idea.

Made it home, time to start planning for next year!
Got out of Chicago 7 hours later than planned. Just boarded the jet for home in Seattle's 105 degree sauna. Can't wait for winter next month!
Man, we were so lucky to only be delayed an hour and a half leaving Chicago.

Good to hear you made it out, Wayne. Direct flights pay off, I guess.

Things are about to get interesting...
I'm looking forward to meeting you in person, @raidermike.

Lunch just isn't the same after you've had @Patrickbrick cook for you.
My bacon levels have dropped precipitously since the MKE herf.
Lucky for me, I have at least a week's worth of leftovers. All I have to do is close my eyes while chewing and it's like Patrick is here.

Hopefully I’ll be off the boat next year!
But you'll be a married man next year and we all know what that means. LOL, just kidding.
It means she’ll be coming to make sure I stay properly dressed 😂
^^^^ like that’s gonna work....
That’s why we invite Chris
MOW badge received.
Ann says the same thing. How’d Chris end up as my babysitter 😂
6th Annual will be the 2nd week of June, June 10-12 2022.
I put it in my calendar. Hopefully baseball cooperates and we dont play that weekend.

This is called getting my hopes up, only to dash them on the rocks June 1st.
