I have Cornish and Black Rock chickens and they both lay brown eggs. There are several that lay white eggs. Most people think it had to do with what they eat but it doesn’t.

my brother and I fought over who would get a double-yoke egg when I was a kid. Never see them now from store-bought eggs.

I haven’t hatched any chicks off of the black rocks yet but plan to soon. The Cornish grow so fast that they are a renewable resource.
