Why does the first c in Dave's "inaccurate" look funny? The little tail at the bottom is odd. I thought I had a speck on my monitor at first, which makes me think maybe Dave's messing with me.

It's a cedilla, a small hook under the c that indicates vowel nasalization when pronouncing the letter.

Thanks. That tells me the 'what', now I need the 'why'.

Fired up the patio heater tonight to have a cigar before bed and then remembered to put on the heat deflector for the patio heater which makes it much more efficient for warming just one person sitting in the back yard.

Thanks for the reminder John, I had a battery tender on the motorcycle that got knocked out by a nearby lightning strike last monsoon season. Have a hunch it was the led's that indicate this tender is working that got killed as I lost a couple other banks of led's but for the price of a tender vs a battery I just got another one ordered.

Toured a piece of the Tucson Gem and Mineral show this morning. Looked at a lot of rocks but didn't find a damn thing I had to have.

My wife is hosting a get-together at our house tomorrow evening, called a Silent Reading night. People get together, each bringing their own book, and they read silently for an hour or so, then converse afterwards, and have some snacks and wine. I was a bit skeptical, but 8 of 10 people invited are coming, and they are THRILLED! My wife feels like a superstar. Most are bringing a small dish of food to share. I told her to tell them to bring enough so I can make a good supper out of it, and I'll be on the porch at 6pm, silently smoking a cigar. Should be fun. I may even read a book too.

Great idea for a get together, including the cigar on the porch.
