I'll put in a plug for Radio Paradise again. No ads, some music I've enjoyed for decades, ~90% music that's new to me. I love the Mellow Mix. It Ain't Necessarily So by Miles Davis just played, and it's Blue Moon by Beck right now. You all are going to get sick of me reminding you about RP... check it out.

I've noticed Bonnie Raitt has done duets with a lot of famous blues type singers. She is everywhere.

This AM a current Asheville NC based group. Queen Bee and the Honey Lovers. Great violin, bass, guitar, and piano musicians and Queen Bee sounds like an early Billi Holiday.

I recently bought a new LP of Memoirs of a Geisha. It might fit the bill for the Jeff and Dave.

Listening to the birds call today. One of my favorites is out this morning, calling
    " ger-man-y! " ger-man-y" ger-man-y!" ger-man-y! I can't unhear it.

There's some kind of bird whose sound seems to me to be "cheeseburger cheeseburger cheeseburger cheese". I get hungry after hearing it.

I remember a program on PBS where they investigated bird calls; they slowed them down and analyzed them in various ways and found them to be way more complex than our human ears can detect.
