My Daughter and Grandchildren are coming up from Florida in March for a visit. I was talking on the phone last night with my oldest Grandson, Thiago, who is 8 years old. He wants to learn to shoot, so we will go to the range while they are here for his first shooting experience. I told him I will write him a letter (since he is getting better at reading) listing the four Fundamental Rules of Firearm Safety, so he can begin to absorb them prior to visiting. I will also encourage him in the letter to think about responsibility and obedience prior to the event.

There is no 5th rule in the 3-4 Rules of Fire Arm Safety.... but you knew that if you took Fire Arm Safety Courses.
How come you, @Vision get to say things that can be easily misconstrued as political, and when called out on it, you get to say 'that was never meant to be political' and we're supposed to take you at your word, and believe it, but when @OutdoorsSmoke_21191 says it was never meant to be political you won't take him at his word and believe it?

It was. And I was waiting for your follow up post to our posts. I actually had your post (on the Tequila bottle) screen shot, circled it, and wrote THIS but figured "Peter will reply anyhow". Why in the world would you think I would be serious? I got @OutdoorsSmoke_21191 and @peter4jc in one post..... but.... I really got Jeff as he probably assumes I've never been taught the 4 Key....

It was very cool. Several people and many types of tobacco were brought by all to share with everyone. Great conversations, interesting people with interesting backgrounds, cool pipes, tried some new to me tobacco (burley, English, oh and I was lucky enough to try some frog morton), pastries, whiskey, scotch, bourbon, cigars, etc. I learned something interesting about ’some’ meerschaums…the ones that have a threaded insert (unknown to me) the stem needs to be removed clockwise. Lastly, unfortunately for them, I fit in too well and was invited back. I didn’t even tell the bandaid story. Overall, it was fun and assuredly, I will go back again.
I've heard that for briar pipes, because of the direction that the stummel is drilled, you should always remove and install the stems by rotating clockwise as well, basically in the direction that it was drilled instead of against it.
