    I shipped two packages on Saturday 1/3, both were received on Monday 1/5. Darn slobs.

    I've got a couple from SBC on Monday that I ordered on Saturday. CA ➡️ SD in less than 48 hours. Those days are long gone for me.

    Usually 2 to 3 days, California to the Cape. Quicker than from Pennsylvania by a few days. Got to be getting kicked out of a jammed distribution node to who the f.cares as long as they aren't as busy.

    Most of my packages any more get lost with USPS for no reason other than they are incompetent..

    Well, the merry pranksters at the USPS are at it again. In the last week of June I ordered some pipe tobacco, Black Irish X rope. After a few days it finally shipped from P&C. Well, drat, if they'd shipped it right away it would have been here before the 4th, but, that's life.

    That was just the beginning of its adventures. After languishing in Lehigh PA for another couple days it was finally on the move. "Your package will arrive tomorrow" was the message. Woke up that morning to find that it had arrived, in Montgomery Alabama, approximately just as far away from my house as Lehigh PA. So, at this point it has traveled twice as far as necessary in order to be just as distant as it was to start with.

    (Slaps forehead)

    Wake up the next morning, it's on the move and has now arrived in Birmingham AL. Still out of state, but, at least that's only a 7 hour drive away, and it is finally headed in the right direction. The following day it arrived in Memphis. At last! It is in fact supposed to go through Memphis. Then in left Memphis, and arrived in Memphis again later the same day. That seems to be normal, for Memphis.

    Your package will arrive tomorrow. Yeah, OK.

    Last night, Your Package has left Memphis and will arrive at its destination tomorrow. Oh, goody.

    This morning, can anyone guess where the package is? Pause a moment, scratch your head and take a guess.

    No, not Memphis, nor anywhere else in Tennessee. Alabama? Nope. Maybe Mississippi or Arkansas? I should be so lucky.

    No, they decided it needed a tour of,

    wait for it,

    Washington D.C.

    Where next? Will it remain in the continental U.S.? Perhaps an overseas tour?

    It's anyones guess.
