What's that on the yellow plate, did you already walk the dogs?

It's a chocolate covered marshmallow cookie, I bought a package of them before I went out of town and a few days later they're almost gone, my Wife loves them.

I'm sure the 12% ABV from the rum doesn't hurt.

I'd rather it was 20% but I get no say in what these people make. Anyway, makes for a relaxing day microdosing alcohol the whole day. Maybe ill add some everclear to the rest of the bottle.
Also, my son used the banana stuff to make a glass of chocolate milk. It was actually very good.

Brewed an impromptu blend of two-thirds of roast 279: Brazil Joaquim Ribeiro NP, a nice but a bit boring, chocolatey coffee and one-third roast 280: Kenya AA Kianjiru, a bright and vibrant coffee. The mixture was very satisfying.

Blending is fun and sometimes rewarding. I have been mixing Peter's Burundi with a home roasted Guatamala this week.

Got a bad bag of Uganda. Some brews are maybe ok but some aren't. I think I may have to toss the whole bag.

I think @yakster first mentioned this some time ago.

Nasty defect, smell the grinds before brewing and toss any that smell tainted. For large pots it's recommended to grind half a side at a time and check for tainted to reduce waste. It's usually only one or two beans.

Good plan. Thanks Chris. I was concerned because the article I linked to suggested that a few beans could taint the whole bag.

That's definitely not my experience, I've had this happen to me a few times and it only affects the brew with the defect bean in it, not the whole bag. It put me off buying greens from Rwanda / Burundi / Uganda for a while but the situation seems to have improved a bit and those coffee origins are so tasty so I've resumed buying from those regions in recent years.
