Look out now! Phillies have won 4 in a row, and 5 of 6. We are a juggernaut!

Phils win, 9-3.
Also, 9-3 under Mattingly.1 -
Phils come back from down 6-0, to win 11-9 in 10 innings, against the cross-state rival Pirates (who are playing good ball). Great win!

If it don’t bother me, it don’t bother me. Just leave me alone.

Well you don’t see this every day…..

Phillies completed the 3-game sweep of the Padres today, in San Diego, and are now two games over .500 at 29-27. Sorry Jeff @memento_mori
But, the more amazing thing is Phillies pitcher Christopher Sanchez set a new franchise record for consecutive scoreless innings pitched, currently at 44.2. The previous record was set by Grover Cleveland Alexander, the same year my Grandad was born, 1911, 115 years ago! Can you say "Cy Young"?

Now that you said that…. Guy will end up needing Tommy John…. Can’t be jinxing it by talking about it.

I wish I had that ability.

It's been 20 years since Hall of Fame pitcher Mike Mussina told his Hall of Fame coach Joe Torre "No, stay there" as Torre was headed out of the dugout to pull him

Looking around the league I get it why nobody cares if this thread goes necro. My Mariners can barely hold onto a lead in the AL West. Sherms Yanks don't give a crap about leading the pack in the East. Speaking of the East those RedSox(sorry Pete, had to say it) have been stinking up the joint. Al Central has a new leader with the White Sox coming on, probably due to John's buddy having a son 20+years ago. In the NL Peters BrewCrew seem to be comfortable to lead the Central, tough district as all of those dogs were over .500 till recently. Nobody thinks Todd's Phillies will catch the Braves but anything can happen. Dodgers just keep opening the lead over Jeff/Monty's Padres

Phil's get 17 hits tonight, after just 1 last night, and hold off a late surge by Peter's Brew Crew. Thank God for Jhoan Duran!
