Welcome Nick @Urzu7 Definitely want to humidify your cigars until you are ready to smoke. Nothing fancy. A tuppedore and a boveda pack. Keep it in a cool and shadey environment and you will be fine.I visit VB a couple times a year. Whereabouts you located?
I'm in the Ocean View area.

Welcome aboard @Urzu7 . The soapy, chemically, gasoline flavor you got from the Java was no fault of yours. That tends to happen with infused cigars. Bic lighters work just fine if that’s what you choose to use. Most of this hobby boils down to a few basics and the rest is all personal preference.
If you’re using a tupperdore, waiting isn’t going to change anything if it’s empty. How big is the tupperdore and what are you using for humidification?
If it don’t bother me, it don’t bother me. Just leave me alone.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00284AG5U?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 This one is 7 liters and I have one 62RH boveda pack inside with a cedar tray. I also left a small ramekin of distilled water inside which could be why it's been in the mid-70s.
I have a Govee bluetooth hygrometer which has been reading 75 for about three days now.

Welcome Nick @Urzu7 , the 2 week seasoning time is not necessary when using a tupperdor. The two weeks is typically for a wooden humidor, to allow the wood to reach the correct humidity. Throw your cigars and Boveda in the tupperdor and go!
Edit to add: I should have turned the page before replying. You also don't need the distilled water, it won't do anything except work against the boveda. You might need more than one boveda for 7 liters though.

Hey welcome Nick @Urzu7 i have two of those exact Tupperware and I just keep 1 65% boveda in it and they’ve held for almost a year now. Get rid of the distilled water and toss your sticks in there. With only 5 cigars you’re gonna have a lot of empty space in there, I’d maybe put an inflated ziplock bag in with it just to take up the empty space so the boveda doesn’t have as much space to keep at RH or buy a box or two of cigars to fill it up.

Any container you use as a humidor, you're going to want to keep about 3/4 full of cigars. Extra boveda packs won't hurt a thing and they can be recharged with distilled water when they start to dry out.
