  • Me, neither, if I hadn't known the daughter of the president of the company, when I was in college.

Still working on my question, guys. Stay tuned.

Here comes another tractor question....I can just see it now. :)
  • Well, somebody's got to educate you on the important stuff.

I learned more about Farmall Tractors this summer than I ever needed to know. A, B, C, H, F, M, MD, F Series, Super Series. I even start looking in Farm fields for the Damn things.
  • That's gonna be useful knowledge when this recession becomes a depression and we're all forced back to subsistence farming again. Just wait. You'll thank me.
  • Question time.

Stop me if you've heard this one before. That is, it seems like I've talked about this around here already, but a quick forum search didn't turn up anything.

Seeing as how it's NFL playoffs time, here's a question about my brush with NFL greatness. Back in the early 1970s, there was an NFL player who was dating a woman who lived up the street from us. When he got tired of hanging out with her, he'd come down and play ball with me and my brothers in our back yard. Who was he?

Starting hints: he played for 2 different teams; he played defense; he went to a Super Bowl.

I truely believe everything you say Urbi, so in advance " Thank You "
  • Jake Scott?
  • Sadly, no.
  • Ya got a Farmall Urbi?

Nah. I grew up on them, though. The M, H, and Super C.
  • Yea we had several as well .... my dad about 5 years back restored one of the little ones with the off set seat , I dont remember what model that was....he still has it put up in a building.....looks great....still uses it in his 3 gardens ( he's 76 and slowing down a litttle but loves that tractor and his gardens)
  • maybe you remember what model that is
  • The Cub, maybe? I know the ones I used, but that's about as far as my knowledge goes.
  • Tim Foley
  • That "one" guy!
  • Did he murder his wife later in life?
  • No no that was the one-armed guy, not that "one" guy.
  • lol =)

No, no. He didn't play defense. Well, not until after he retired, anyway.

    Not Foley, maddy.
  • Heh coulda swore you mentioned Foley some other time.
  • Time for another hint?

Okay. His rookie year, he was an All-Star in the AFL. Later, he was an NFL All-Pro 4 times.
  • I just know this answer isn't going to be right (I'm still convinced you were chillin with Jake Scott as a kid), I'm gonna say Willie Brown.
  • You were playing ball with William Thomas (Bill) Stanfill.
  • that was the guy I was talking about...
  • Uh huh ...
  • Nope. Sorry, losers. Hint #3: at one time, he held the NFL record for most interceptions by a linebacker.
  • Don Shinnick?
  • Oops. You get that guess back, Luko. My hint wasn't quite clear.

That should say "most interceptions in a season by a linebacker."
  • Quite kind of you sir...I'm past my knowledge base. Now it's just google and me.
