I know you guys are. Sometimes a guy just has to vent I reckon. God never promised a life of leisure just that he wouldn't give us more than we can handle. Sometimes I forget that. And all in all I can say we've been blessed. Thanks to all our great friends here and at home.Glock1975:Prayers Rick, we're here for ya Bro.
Open the vents as much as you need, man. I've been praying, too.Intelligence is knowing that a tomato is a fruit; wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad.
I like Oliva and Quesada (including Regius) a lot. I will smoke anything, though.0 -

Well I'll tell you. If it's not one thing its another. Last week she slipped and fell in the kitchen and dislocated her elbow. I happened to be out walking and was 2 miles from the house on my way back when she called me. By the time I got home the ambulance was right behind me. Since then we've been down to the arm specialist three times because she keeps insisting they are putting the splint on to tight. Was there twice just today. Finally I guess they got tired of her and just told her that was as good as it's going to get. On the good side her oncologist said her blood work was great today. But we've been fighting pretty much non stop it feels like. She thinks all I care about is money but I can't make her understand our income just dropped by almost half and that she can't keep blowing money. She ordered a freaking new lazy boy that cost 800$ which is half of what's left of our emergency fund. If I could just convince her that if we let the time share go and the car we're paying on we'd be in good shape. Not great but that would be almost 600$ a month right there. But no! So screw it I guess. I'm to the point that I don't even care I'll just worry about it when we can't pay the bills and file bankruptcy and just let everything go. Bet your sorry you asked?? Anyways I'm done ranting. Think I'll smoke this Long live the king I've been drooling over since the day it arrived in my mail box from one of the great BOTL's here.0

Sorry to hear about the fall, when it rains it pours. You say her bloodwork was good, that's a blessing. Fighting over money is sometimes not worth it, more money can be made, hope she enjoy's the chair and you enjoy your cigar, deserve it bro.1

So true. But it's hard for me to do. I guess things could always be worse. Seeing all the devastation today from the flooding and tornadoes really makes a guy realize how bad things could be. My prayers go out to those poor folks.The3Stogies:Sorry to hear about the fall, when it rains it pours. You say her bloodwork was good, that's a blessing. Got some good news for a change. The hospital called my wife today and said they have a match for the bone marrow transplant. A 9 out of 10 score fora match. So she goes up Monday for a biopsy and if everything looks good then around the end of the month is what they are shooting for to do the transplant. So keep praying.1

That is good news man. Still praying man.One God, One Truth2

Prayers for y'all. Good news indeed on getting the match.1

I read that as both a prayer request, and a praise report/answered prayer.
It's my privilege to pray for you and your wife. I learned, during my wife's battle with cancer, that it might have been Sandy whose body had the disease, but it affected her husband in so many ways I wasn't entirely well either.

Thanks guys it means a lot.2

Well so much for that. Another donor bites the dust. Carla got a call yesterday telling her not to bother coming today because they couldn't use the donor. Don't know what happened, it looked like a sure thing this time. Now it's back to waiting and more chemo.0

We'll just keep praying... God knows what He's doing and never makes mistakes. My prayer is for sustaining grace in the midst of your ordeal, and insight into His purposes for you and your wife.

Hey man, I'm sorry to hear the latest news on this. I'll be keeping you guys in my prayers, and I hope something truly comes through on the donor front soon.¨The cure for anything is salt water: sweat, tears, or the sea¨ - Isak Dinesen
