Yep. Columbus is a nice town but when all you see is a hospital or a rinky dink apartment it gets old real fast.1

The last few nights have been kinda scary. Her heart rate has been dropping down to around 46-47 but would come back up after laying down. She didn't want to call anyone because she didn't want to spend all night and morning in the ER. Her heart doc said today it was PVC's and that considering what she's been through she's doing about as good as one could expect. Whew!!!0

Well crap! Here we are back at OSU. Came up Monday checked Carla into the ER. Long story short she's got 3 blood clots in her leg and many many more smaller ones in her lungs.
They got her on blood thinners hoping those in her lungs will break up and be absorbed.
They also put in an IVC filter ( the same one as in the lawsuit commercial) to stop the clots from going to her heart or brain.
She might be getting out Friday. If all the doctors agree. She'll have to take 2 shots every day for about 6 months at 150$ a month. That's the copay.
I swear to God it's one thing after another!
So here I sit in the parking garage smoking a 601 red label and thinking how blessed I am that we have so many people who really care about us. Because there's no way I could have stayed off work so long to be with her if it wasn't for everyone.0 -
Dang, Rick! So sorry to read this! Continuing to pray for you and Carla. Lots of folks lifting y'all up."When I have found intense pain relieved, a weary brain soothed, and calm, refreshing sleep obtained by a cigar, I have felt grateful to God, and have blessed His name." - Charles Haddon Spurgeon1

Just had to tell my baby girl that the doctors aren't giving her mom more than a year. At least one doctor said today that there's always a chance her heart will improve. But he's like one out of a dozen. I'm not strong enough for this. So much crap that needs to be done and I just seem to keep **** everything up. Just normal everyday stuff like paying bills or cleaning the house just seems overbearing. And there's just not enough whiskey.0

Lean on Christ, let HIM be your strength. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family. May GOD BLESS YOUR WIFE.

I listen to this guy most mornings, and if you have the time I highly recommend it. Today's sermon is quite relevant."Cooking isn't about struggling; It's about pleasure. It's like sǝx, with a wider variety of sauces."
