Forum is not letting me comment..."Cooking isn't about struggling; It's about pleasure. It's like sǝx, with a wider variety of sauces."

I'm truly sorry for everything you've been through. Lean on Christ and let your brothers hold you up.

My heart goes out to you, Ricky. Like the others have said, lean on the Lord and trust in His strength. Continuing to pray for Carla's healing, and for God's grace to surround you all in this difficult time."When I have found intense pain relieved, a weary brain soothed, and calm, refreshing sleep obtained by a cigar, I have felt grateful to God, and have blessed His name." - Charles Haddon Spurgeon4

Just never forget, That nothing is impossible with God.

On Another's Sorrow, by William BlakeCan I see another's woe,And not be in sorrow too?Can I see another's grief,And not seek for kind relief? Can I see a falling tear,And not feel my sorrow's share? Can a father see his childWeep, nor be with sorrow filled? Can a mother sit and hearAn infant groan, an infant fear? No, no! never can it be!Never, never can it be!And can He who smiles on allHear the wren with sorrows small,Hear the small bird's grief and care,Hear the woes that infants bear --And not sit beside the next,Pouring pity in their breast,And not sit the cradle near,Weeping tear on infant's tear? And not sit both night and day,Wiping all our tears away?Oh no! never can it be!Never, never can it be!He doth give his joy to all:He becomes an infant small,He becomes a man of woe,He doth feel the sorrow too.Think not thou canst sigh a sigh,And thy Maker is not by:Think not thou canst weep a tear,And thy Maker is not near.Oh He gives to us his joy,That our grief He may destroy:Till our grief is fled an goneHe doth sit by us and moan."When I have found intense pain relieved, a weary brain soothed, and calm, refreshing sleep obtained by a cigar, I have felt grateful to God, and have blessed His name." - Charles Haddon Spurgeon4

Thinking of letting this just fade away, I hate always being the guy that brings everyone down. But before I do I wanted to let you all know Carla is doing ok. It's been rough and I thought I was going to lose her a few times.
The transplant seems like it took but her heart is so bad they don't hold out for much hope. And because of the transplant she's not a candidate for any heart operation.
Its all in Gods hands. But each time she has to be admitted she comes out a little worse off. She's at a 20 percent ejection fraction when she got out this last time plus numerous blood clots. But God willing she'll be able to see her baby tie the knot in December.

Don't let this fade away. You can say anything here and for me it's how I know how things are going.
I sincerely wish all the best for you and yours. I wish there was more I could do.

This site is our home. It ain't perfect, it ain't pretty, sometimes people yell or cry here. Sometimes people laugh here too. But we all damn try to support and uplift and pray for each other.
Ricky, we are praying for you and Carla. You aren't bringing us down, you are confiding in us, looking for support to help keep pushing forward, and I feel you seeking some brotherly kindness.
Carla is a fighter (as are you, it is clear). Lean on God and keep us posted and we will keep talking to Him.
Keep posting here, please?
I do not think you are bringing us down one bit.
I know what I am about to say might sound silly, but I am gonna say it. I hope you mention to the Boss that we're all praying and thinking positive thoughts for her.

Good news. Carla is doing so much better that I'm going to catch a boat Friday. Can't believe I've been off since November 18th. Is it wrong that I'm kinda excited about going back to work? Never thought that would ever happen. Keep the good thoughts and prayers coming. God willing she'll prove that doctors don't know everything.3

Great news! Enjoy work and prayers always2

Awesome news! So happy to hear this! Nothing wrong with being excited. This will give you a sense of normal life and not life going in and out of hospitals.
I'll be continuing my prayers for you and your wife.3 -
