Re: Size Matters?
Let's say you have 100 churchills that are 7 x 48. With the ring size being 48 you have a cigar that 3/4 around. So if you were able to stack them perfectly 10 x 10, you should have a stack 7.5" high by 7.5" wide by 7" long (I hope my math is right). I would say that "A" would probably be my choice, it's only 2-1/4" taller… -
Re: OpusX
wwhwang:Actually, I need to get some more Opus. I only have two Perfecion No 4, one of which, I'm gonna give to an old friend stationed at Ft. Hood. They're small, but horrendously expensive. I usually prefer something bigger and belicoso shaped. the no.4 is my favorite vitola. dont let its size fool you. the petite… -

Enjoy the race, should be a good one. Any questions I will answer them in the AM. Happy Holiday weekend all. Always remember to… -
Re: Most underrated/undervalued
I think a few of the Gurkha Micro batches are great budget sticks, with the Box pressed lancero being my favorite. I find myself not really smoking a lot of "bargain" cigars these days though, as the internet offersso many opportunities to get great cigars at like 3 or 4 dollars a piece (I have a pretty good stash of MOWs… -
Re: Fonseca Arana? Any thoughts so far?
Thought I'd dig up this old thread after I had one of these yesterday. First of all it was a great smoke FOR ME. I capitalized FOR ME because it's obvious that everyone's preferences on cigars are different. But one thing I'd like to point out is that the cigar I smoked yesterday was not the same cigar I bought 4 or 5… -
Re: Surfingzeeko's 500th post contest
surfingzeeko:Alright guys I'm getting close to 500 here, so it's time for another contest. Here are my questions: 1. What group's cd is in my car right now? (Hint: band is from the last 15 years or so, but released their first album in the last 10 years) 2. What is my favorite drink with a cigar? (hint: it's non-alcoholic)… -
Re: TEXAS RANGERS!!
YankeeMan:I agree with Matt, those teams will not bring in the casual fan. Those people who wanted the Rangers over the Yankees in the poll were not necessarily Ranger fans, but probably Yankee haters. It's like those who love or hate Notre Dame, the Dallas Cowboys, etc. But the poll wasn't just between the Yankees and the… -
Re: Bombs Away!
bbc020:I'm taking a bombing lesson from Scrambler today as he hit my desk with the most perfect bomb. Three sticks, one I've been dying to try(tat black), one I've only heard of in myth (partagas serie d no 4), one I've come to enjoy (tat havana VI hermosos). One thing this forum continues to teach me about is the generous… -
smoking to slow?
Hey guys I'm new to cigars and today I bought what is about my 5th smoke. I've read the blogs and reviews here and on other sites endlessly for the last 5 days to try and get educated before I start spending. So today I went to Tinderbox in Ahwatukee, AZ and bought 2 Flor de Oliva's (Natural and Maduro, Robustos) and a… -
"bundling" sticks........tip for fellow noobs
So I'm getting ready for bucket humi 2, which will be storing "bundles" of previously loose sticks, anywhere from 4 to 10 sticks in a bundle. Some of you may want to make your own bundles for your coolerdors, tupperdors, etc. I have been experimenting a bit, and this is what didn't work. Rubberbands - problems getting just…
