Same. Worked for a friend removing old fence for a few summers. I usually wore a white shirt regardless of how dirty I would get so I could see ticks better. No idea why but some years they are way worse than others. There were days when I'd count a hundred on me. Never had one attach to me though.

Happy Birthday to all the Leathernecks out there. The US Marine Corps is 248 years young. The Corps was founded by some folks who were in their cups in Tunn's Tavern in Philadelphia on November 10th in 1775.
Our birthday is a big deal in the MC. I remember sitting in the mud and rain at a Khe Sanh outpost and eating steak and potatoes that were flown in by helicopter on Nov 10th 1966 for our birthday. No plates, ate out of our helmets and used k-bars to cut the steaks.
