Just spent two minutes trying to remove a deer tick that had attached just below my eye. The skin there is so stretchy and the barbed lance so efficient I had to switch from fine point tick tweezers to a pair that could grab the whole critter before I could remove it. I hate ticks.

Same. Worked for a friend removing old fence for a few summers. I usually wore a white shirt regardless of how dirty I would get so I could see ticks better. No idea why but some years they are way worse than others. There were days when I'd count a hundred on me. Never had one attach to me though.

Researchers went to the pasture and dragged a muslin cloth along the ground, using a lint roller to pick up the sesame seed-sized creatures, which balloon to the size of a pea when feeding on blood. They managed to gather 9,287 ticks in just 90 minutes.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s website, the ticks have been spotted in Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
Had to pick Parker up from the Walmart police and city police
Him and 4 other friends built a fort out of all the toilet paper and the dog beds...
I guess they did it this morning and after it was all put back they went back and didn't it again and Walmart had enough. They claim he his banned from all locations until he is 25. He is 15

There's worse punishments than not having to go to Walmart.

On my AM walk I found two hollows that could produce nice springs. All it would take is a hour with a shovel.
Saw three buck scrapes within 40 yards that I think were made by the same buck. The tracks were made by a big fella.
Started to cut a trail up to the ridge behind my studio. Last time I did this was several years ago. The hill is overgrown with laurel and 15 ft. rhododendron. Its is so thick the path is rather like a tunnel than an open path. I made it about 25 yards and hit a large blown down oak. I've got to back up a spell and cut the path around that log. I figure it will take me a couple more hours with long handled loppers and a folding saw. Use it or lose it.
I finally finished my Hifi shelf/rack and moved some furniture around to relocate the system to the correct wall. I'm still in the process of finding the best position for the speakers and subwoofer, and then maybe going down the rabbit hole of acoustical room treatments. I think I'm happy but I'm not quite sure.
I'm a bit of a pack-rat, but justifiably so; most everything I have will be used for some task or project at some point - assuming I live long enough, LOL. Also, I don't know anyone who isn't a pack-rat to some degree.
This morning I stumbled across something in my basement that my younger self must have thought worth saving, but here's the rub; I don't know WTF it is!!!
I used to buy coconut oil in bulk and repurpose the 1gal. plastic pails for whatever. Well, I found one of the pails underneath something else and when I opened it up it had indeed been repurposed. There is close to a gallon of greasy black who-knows-what in the pail; no smell, very slight grit, and it rinsed off my finger and thumb without using soap.
So far I have no recollection and no idea what it is in that pail. For now, I just chuckling at what a dope I used to be (and still am) but it has the potential to drive me batty if I can't figure out what this stuff is.
Did anyone else's mobile version of the forum seem to change to larger font in the past couple days or did I screw something up on my phone?
It's not awful but different and I don't like change.
