In two years I have never met another person on the 2 1/2 mile walk. It is peaceful but the five hills I go down and then up have me sucking wind at times. Worth it though.
Waking up and letting the cat in.

After a day and a half of a horrible cough I drove the cvs at 6:30 this morning for cough medicine. Should have stopped there on the way home from work yesterday. My throat was on fire, my chest full of crud and my abdominal muscles ache from all the coughing. The cough medicine is working great. Can finally have a cigar.

Went off my usual path on my walk this morning. I was collecting pine cones to mix with my wood stove kindling. Was walking up a draw and saw movement about 50 yards ahead. It was a small flock of turkeys. Two or three hens and a mess of jakes. I froze but I could see one of the hens checking me out. The flock moved out of the bottom and made their way up a hill. We used to have lots of turkeys but about seven years ago the coyotes cause the population to crash. Nice to see they are still around. Made my day.
Afraid I went over to the dark side and use a propane grill now. I do have 7 or 8 2x14x8' rough planks drying in the cellar; not sure what I am going to do with them. It was a big tree. Most of the rest (about two cords) will get split for fire wood. I have a little hibachi and will try the cherry in it. Does it add much flavor to what you grill? @Patrickbrick

Took my camera with me on my AM walk. Here is what I am lucky enough to experience most every day.
These are gone....
...and the trailer is clean.
Looks like a nice, peaceful walk.

Phils win. Up 3-2 and coming back to Philly. I'm switching to AB Black Market as the "Go To" smoke for the remainder of the playoffs.
Flat tire when I got n my car this morning! Limped it to work (2 miles) and put air in it. Seems to be holding! I’ll check in an hour or so and see!
Not a great way to start the day, time for a good cigar.
Happy birthday @peter4jc !

Sounds like RSV virus, keep your distance from young children and elderly adults until you are on the mend. Hope that's soon.
Picked our Empire apples and am making apple sauce.
In our old house the disposal was a total pain to install. Was situated where you could only get one hand at a time in place to

Coyotes and Bobcats have put a hurting on small game around here. Sure wish there was still a viable fur market.
Don't let the wife know what you spend on guns, ammo or cigars.

Split cherry logs for a couple of hours, it sure felt good to be up to it.
What will you be cooking with the logs? Please don’t let good cooking wood go to waste.

Glad you're feeling better, Edward.
