Hey Newbies, if you get an error message when trying to post to the forum that "your comment will appear after it's been approved" try posting without quoting others, especially try without a lot of usernames like @yakster, etc.
For some reason this happens to newbies, but after a mysterious (to me) amount of time and experience (maybe secret badges) it doesn't happen any longer.
Generally these comments sit in the bit bucket waiting to be approved except that one time when hundreds and hundreds of pending comments were approved en mass flooding the forum with old replies.
Bump for the newbies, I hear after a week or so this stops being a problem.

Hello to all , I am new to the forum . Been smoking cigars for about 2 years now . They help me relax . Because when I smoke one I have to sit down and enjoy it .
Hello everyone. My name is Steve and I'm a newbie to cigars. My journey is a bit unique. I was a cigarette smoker up until two weeks ago. I've smoked since my late teens, and recently, I found myself dealing with congestion, allergies, and...congestion. My mind started wandering to those commercials where there's several guys (a cowboy, a rapper, and an entertainer I think) all glamorizing smoking, but at the end, there's a frail guy in a wheelchair with a ventilator who can barely squeeze out a sentence. I decided that wasn't going to be me so two weeks ago, I quit. Any time I've been tempted to someone, that commercial, and the inability to breathe when I was congested, has been more than enough to keep me from buying anymore.
Prior to that, I had been interested in learning about, and smoking cigars, and I had purchased a 10 pack tin of DE Acid Blue Connecticut cigars and really enjoyed them. I've decided to keep the cigars as I only smoke them on the weekends. They're very relaxing and I enjoy them when I'm on the grill. Learning about them has been a blast, as I never knew there was such a major distinction between cigars and cigarettes. Looking forward to continue learning from you all.
Welcome, brother. I'm a pretty green newbie myself around these parts, but there's a really good crew here and a lot of fun things going on! Hope you stick around for a bit!

Hey all, looks like I joined this site a long time ago and then went Earhart. Anyway, I've been a solo smoker for years and would like to meet up with some herfers in my area (NEPA) who are in, or would like to start, a club. No lounges close by so it would have to be DIY.

It'll be fine once the swelling goes down.
But you have to have 100 posts before you can welcome someone else. Read the rules, know the rules.
