The community raised beds at the Fairgrounds. There are 36 4x8 beds free to those who sign up every year. About a 1/4 mile from my house. I walk past every time I do my morning walk. Nice to see things growing. Any extra squash, tomatoes etc goes to a local food bank.
Spent a couple of hours thinning the fruit on one of the bipolar apple trees, last year depressed--no apples, this year manic. It is hard to tell how much to remove when the fruits are small.

The garden is finishing up. We have collards and kale in and covered and should last until Jan. Here 's our winter squash haul and the last of the tomatoes, beans and summer squash.

Yes, Shawn, but if you don't thin the fruit they don't size up well.
