I received a Doug Erwin memorial pipe, DGE was the founder of the Pipe Smokers Den forum and famous for smoking and making corncob pipes.

I also picked up a cheap Eafengrow EF11 Folding Knife and a LAb420 small bamboo cigarette rolling tray for pre rolled cones from Amazon to see how well these low-cost items work for pipe tobacco prep. I probably will need to sharpen the knife for tobacco rope and plug use.

Pair that 515-RC1 with some of that whole leaf perique and whatever else you've got for a nice blend.

I’m guessing that’s pretty much the reasoning behind it.

However, the old-style tins tend to lose the vacuum. Mason jars are the answer. I carefully peel the label off the tin and put it on the flap, seal, of the jar. Voila! Labelled.

The plastic lid tins are good for nearly forever.
