It's not Art Deco, it is Prairie Style, based on Frank Lloyd Wright's Prairie Style architecture.
Dana Thomas House in Springfield, Illinois...
Prairie is an Architectural Style. Influenced Art Deco, sure, but it's still Deco. Prairie focused on the horizon that lamp is tall with tall, vertical lines.... Deco... But thanks for the refresher.
Art Deco is an international decorative style that originated in France and was popular from 1919 to 1939. It's characterized by a combination of modern aesthetics, fine craftsmanship, and expensive materials. Some of the key features of Art Deco include:
Geometric forms
Art Deco is known for its use of stylized geometric forms, such as zigzags, chevrons, squares within squares, and diamonds.
Linear appearance
Art Deco has a sharp-edged, linear appearance with smooth wall surfaces.
New materials
Art Deco incorporates new materials and technologies, such as reinforced concrete, glass block, chrome, vitrolite, stainless steel, and neon signage.
Contrasting colors
Art Deco often uses contrasting colors, such as emerald green, sapphire blue, ruby red, black against gold, or dark gray.

That's also know as a Mission Style Lamp
American Stylization of Deco is pretty exaggerated. We see this in a lot of early sky scrapers. Also, the internet seems to confuse Art Nouveau with Deco all the time..... Maddening!! I found a lamp just like that at a yard sale and she told be it was an Antique Tiffany Lamp..... didn't have the heart to show her the tag on the bottom that said "Made for Target"
