Started off with some Merde de Cheval in my mighty Stanwell Revival Elephant Foot, followed that up with some Plum Pudding Reserve in the elegant Dunhill Pickaxe. Good day for a pipe.

Making a parfait of the MB Navy Flake over the GLP Windjammer made for a good comparison. I liked the flavors from the Navy Flake more than the Windjammer which is a good thing since I bought the Navy Flake in bulk.

2019 Tabac Manil - Réserve du Patron (Pure Semois) in a ~1934 WDC (William Demuth Company) Bing Billiard. Strong and dry burley from the Ardennes Valley in Belgium, reminds me of Kendal Dark i believe.

Semois, I havent had any of that in a dog's age, thanks for the reminder Chris. Loading up some Windel Grove Semois Coupe Grosse, jarred up in '05 now in a Ligne Bretagne tall billiard,
I wanted to try the 2019 Tabac Manil - Réserve du Patron (Pure Semois) with coffee, I had a little bit of an Ethiopian coffee so I picked a small Norm Triptow pipe to pair with it. I got a bit of sweetness in one or two of the puffs of this tobacco.

GH Coniston / Bosun mix in my Norm Triptow pipe, getting ready to walk the dogs while it's still nice out.
The vagaries of nature turned it into a moist walk followed by a dry smoke. The dogs were getting cabin fever, as was I, and really enjoyed the walk.
Now it's coming down cats and dogs while I smoke under the patio cover. Glad I got that walk in when I did.

smoldering MB Navy Flake is a joy. Unlike some flakes it burns pretty fast so slow is the way to go, imho.
