Giving Ken Byron Ventures Deep House a try ROTT in my figural sultan meerschaum pipe.
I almost always try stuff as soon as it comes in. Gives you a perspective, I think. This morning I've got some John Cotton's Number One in the Neerup Pickaxe. When this tobacco came, I tried it, thought "meh". It seemed bland. I wanted something mild on hand, but I was expecting a certain kind of depth and sweetness from it, and I was disappointed.
Now, I'm not sure how much later, at least a year or two, it's just about exactly what I was looking for when I bought it. Enjoying it greatly.

Pipe is a BST. Tobacco from @84CJ7, TYVM Mark. I figured I should finally open it and enjoy it while the weather is cool and Latakia blends are enjoyable.

Pipe is a circa 1900 WDC Bulldog with Sterling silver accents and a translucent replacement cherry Bakelite stem with an orific bit. This is the one that my Wife commented "that's a nice pipe." This tobacco is tasty stuff, but can bite if rushed.
