I sprinkled some layers of old, dry Escudo with Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match to smoke in my Neal Monier Bing and paired it with more black coffee while I work from the garage.

Smoking a sample of Vauen - Jubiläums [Jubilee] Edition from @NorCalR1 in my Falcon with black coffee. The Bing has yesterday's Edward G. Robinson blend in it. TYVM David, I'll have to try this a few more times so I can get a better sense of this dark tropical fruit Aro blend. A bit breeze while I work from the back yard.

C&D Sun Bear Black Locust in my Briar Works Bullmoose. Still tasting the bowl coating.
Chris, just an idea, but have you thought about painting the inside of the bowl with honey? Just take a Q-tip and lightly coat the bowl, give it a few days to dry, and try another bowlful. I did this on a new Stanwell HCA with hotspots forming in the bowl. Seemed to cure the problem, if it doesn't, it won't hurt anything either.

The sweet Virginia flavors of this Sutliff 507-C Virginia Slices (100% A-1 bright matured Virginias pressed and single cut in the classic British European tradition) is covering any off tastes from the bowl coating of my new Briarworks Bullmoose, or I'm starting to break this pipe in. Either way, I'm happy.

I'm taking a mulligan with G&H rum flake in my no name Italian Dublin dedicated to Lakeland blends. I tried to smoke this last night but it was too wet and all I got was steam so I dried it out before smoking it today and I get a lot better flavor.

How did that bullmoose behave, Chris?
It smoked well, but I wish I had gotten one without a bowl coating. Any off flavors from the bowl coating should fade as I break it in.

I hadn't considered that, but I did consider reaming down the bowl and sanding down to bare wood but that seems too much like work.
