Nice, it's always good to repair or replace broken doors.

Just a little wiring, she says.
It won't take very long, she says.
    We have everything, she says.
It will be your cigar lounge, she said.
She lied on the first 3.

It started out a little wiring on the front porch, but the more we looked, the worse it got.
Repairing roof structure, gutting most the wiring, cause hardly any of it was correct and pulling all of the ceiling down.
Fortunately, we got most the wiring back in and everything working.

Still have to run outlets to code and install the ventilation fan, wiring and switch.

Then after inspection, which cost me a bundle for the freakin permit, I can start putting the panels on the walls.
    I hate this stuff.

    Yeah, if they get done.
All the wiring has to come back out and the roof has to be removed, re-trussed and all new roofing material put on.

When we got to pulling the ceiling, we found some problems, which the only way to correct it, is to completely remove the roof on the old section of the porch and put all new stuff in and since a lot of the wiring was run in the ceiling, it means all the wiring comes out and has to be run all over again.

The good part of it, is that I didn't like the way the wiring was run, so now I can clean it all up and do it correctly.
About a grand gone, but there will be no worries of leaks.

So. This started out as installing new flooring in the dining room.
    Looks like flooring, doesn't it?
And now, not only in the dining room torn apart, but the kitchen is half demolished.
$5k in freakin appliances, fridge, stove, microwave hood, dishwasher and washer and dryer and that's not even inclusing the cabinets.
You know, cause they all have to match and be black stainless steel.
I find out how much the cabinets will be tomorrow. I should probably bring a paper bag, for when I hyperventilate.

    @silvermouse
    That looks awesome!

I now have the kitchen and dining room torn apart.
The boss lady had to have matching black stainless steel appliances, so that blew the budget all to hell. $3800 for a freaking fridge?? WTF?

We have all the cabinets for one side of the kitchen, but all the wiring has to come out and be re-done, then new shitrock and then the cabinets can go in.
And I have to put in 1/4" subfloor for the new flooring, which can't be put in until all the cabinets go in.
Plus, the countertop will be cedar planks glued together and then epoxy'd.
Just the sanding and buffing on that is gonna take forever.

Oh, I forgot. This started as just replacing the floor in the dining room.
Which gonna remain torn apart until the kitchen is finished.

And has anyone seen a cigar room? Cause I lost mine.
At least until the kitchen and dining room are done and I can get the savings back up.

It's slow going, but all the electrical , outlets and sheetrock is on, on one wall.
A couple cabinets are up, but waiting (and waiting) on the over range microwave and the over fridge cabinet.
Hopefully both will be here mid next month.
    I hate waiting on stuff.
Boss lady picked out 12x24 polished tiles for the wall behind the stove. Should look good.

No, me and my boys are fumbling through it.
Which is probably why it's taking us 10 times longer.
Trying to get everything just right, so the boss lady can't complain.
An impossible task, but we try. LOL!

Now the countertops are starting to be made.
    This is a sample board.
Still have 2 more coats of sealer, then the epoxy resin goes on. If it works the way we hope, it will have a glass gloss to it.

    Looking good. Cabinets getting stained?

The cabinets already have a eurathane finish on them. We went with the orangish "colonial maple" stain to contrast it.
No idea of it will work well or not. 😆

If you ever think that using that crystal clear epoxy will make the countertop look great, it will. Is it worth it? ABSOLUTELY F'in NOT!!
What a royal pain. If everything isn't perfectly seal BEFORE you put that crap on, you fight air bubbles for hours.

And what ever room you are going to do it in, tell everyone to join right in that room, stir up the f***ing dust, get right in there.
Cause telling them all to stay out of the room did NOTHING!
In and out and in and out. WTF??

Lint and dust in the air, settles right down on it and becomes BRIGHTER!

So, if someone has the brilliant idea to do something like that, tell them they are an idiot and run, don't walk away.

And if you have animals, forget it. There is absolutely no way you can get it to set up without all kinds of dog or cat hair in it.

A heat gun is your friend with that ****.  as you found out that stuff is picky, but there are tricks to setting it fast.

Yeah, we have a heat gun and torch.
Beginning to hate this stuff though.
    Dog hair. WTF?
You can clean until your fingers bleed and somehow, it still gets in there.
Which is why when I was single, I never had animals.

So. We picked up the over range microwave today.
Got it home, doing all the measurements and stuff and look at the power cord and then the wall outlet, then the destructions talking about the outlet being inside the cabinet above the microwave, because if the outlet is behind the microwave, it won't fit properly.
    Houston, we have a problem.
Crap. So now I have to remove sheetrock and move the outlet 6" up and put it all together.

Thankfully, no paint or anything is on the wall yet.
    Grrrrt
