Ever have one of those nights when you're playing your guitar,(or whatever) and you realize that for the last while you have been listening to your instrument play more than you've been playing it? And you know that you have reached some kind of new level, that you cannot access by thinking about it, you just have to let it happen.
I love those moments.
I can't get my guitar to make any good sounds. I think it's broke.
Replace the string actuator. You'll thank me later.

Having exceedingly good luck with temperature control on my roaster and my smoker today, I'm hoping that translates to quality in my coffee and ribs.
The 3-2-1 Baby Back ribs were delicious as was my daughter's Olallieberry pie which I enjoyed with the last of the Tanzania coffee I roasted up last week. We'll see how the Ethiopia coffee came out over the coming days.

The coffee from Ethiopia is so good this morning. Nice blueberry notes. So good that I had to brew a second pot which I think I'm drinking all myself.
The fifteen year old Herf dog Earl is feeling better too. He poked his remaining eye on something and we've been putting in drops for days as he bites my hand. His eye is open now and he appears to be able to see where he's going now and is sleeping on a padded cushion in the back yard enjoying the day.

My family, the beach, grilling/bbq, cigars, sun sets, sun rises, the stars, the sun, swimming, boating, fishing, jet skiing, Las Vegas (Cosmopolitan in particular, around floor 57ish facing the fountains when Sinatra is playing and the lights are shining) but love other properties as well and the town in general, craps (favorite table in Vegas is Casino Royale, down a dirty with real everyday folks) Mexico resorts and beachtowns, Carnival cruises (Panorama is a great ship), sweeping views of the ocean, San Jose sharks, driving rediculously fast, Reno (Peppermill is my favorite and where I stayed when I got married), Dream Inn in Santa Cruz, Capri By The Sea in San Diego, San Diego in general, driving on highway 1 between Pacifica and Morro Bay, the delta, seafood, and of course, myself.

That all I have left to do on my front porch cigar room is the ceiling paneling, flooring and molding.
Then to move my tower, desk and build the shelving.
In Fumo Pax Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy cigars and that's close enough.
